TrackMind Emergency Management – TEM

S5’s TrackMind Emergency Management system is a low cost, automatic and easy to manage solution which provides secured access to areas within a premise to authorized staff, keeps track of people as they move in and out and within a premise. 

The Problem

The sheer physical size and complexity of many facilities (office buildings, factories, hospitals, ships, mines, penitentiaries and schools, for example) and sheer movement of individuals (employees, personal and business visitors, cleaning staff, courier delivery agents) makes it difficult to track the number of individuals occupying any premise at a given time. This coupled with the chaos created during an emergency evacuation from such facilities suggests the benefits of an automatic and robust system to monitor the occupancy of the facility such that emergency workers can determine rapidly the completeness of evacuation, identify individuals remaining in the facility, and have an accurate indication of the location of the individual.

The TEM Solution

S5’s TEM is a low cost, automatic and easy to manage solution which provides secured access to areas within the premises to authorized staff, keeps track of people as they move in and out and within the premises.

TEM automatically keeps tracks of employees, visitors, cleaning staff, delivery and maintenance people in and out of the premise and makes sure that the visitors are not left unescorted or wander into high security areas.

TEM's security features include alarm generation when individuals or visitors wander into areas they are not authorized to visit, facility access management based on individuals’ authority level. TEM's asset management features enables tracking movement of different assets through the premises and in/out of the premises.

During an emergency TEM can locate any individual within the premise and using existing mobile devices creates a two way communication with them. This enables creation of location based guidance to the people in the premise. Using TEM first responders can create evacuation plans, consisting of detailed distribution profile of people and hazardous regions within the premises and entry and evacuation routes.
